Our monthly donors are a very special group of ministry partners whom we call Friends of the Family. They are committed to helping Canadian families thrive every day and to speaking out for God's design for marriage and family life in our country.

As a Friend of the Family, your monthly contribution – of any amount – will provide steady funding that builds the foundation of a thriving ministry. By providing reliable, ongoing support, this group of special donors enables us to transform lives through the power of Christ, strengthen and encourage families, and promote biblical values in our country.

Gift of Securities

A gift of securities can be an ideal way to support the work God is doing through Focus on the Family Canada while avoiding the tax burden of capital gains.

In 2006, the Canadian government eliminated the tax on capital gains when securities are donated to a private charity. Under this law, you are able to give securities directly to a charity, pay no taxes and receive a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the securities – either the closing value on the day of transfer or the proceeds of the sale, before commission and brokerage fees if sold on the day of transfer.

How to donate securities

Simply download and complete the “Donations of Stock” form and send a copy by fax, mail, or email to your broker AND Focus on the Family Canada. (To protect your privacy, your broker will not pass along your name to us when your gift of shares is transferred. We need to hear from you directly in order to thank you and send you your tax receipt.)

2026 Priority Projects

Each year, we focus on key areas to maximize our service to families in Canada. These priority projects range from program expansions to new initiatives and are all born out of a recognized need to achieving our mission of seeing Canadian families thrive.

When you make a major gift of $5,000 or more, you become a leader among partners who are passionate about seeing families strengthened, biblical values promoted, and lives transformed through the power of Christ.

Kerith Waters Loan Repayment

Help us complete the final phase of loan repayment so retreat programs can continue to grow while protecting core ministry funding.

Educational Engagement Program

Help build stronger partnership between parents, teachers, and students in Christian schools through respectful and meaningful engagement.

Focus Famille Ministry Expansion

Equip more francophone families with biblically based resources, prayer support, and practical guidance for everyday challenges.

Funds needed in 2026: $150,000

Parenting Initiative

Equip parents and grandparents with practical, psychologically sound, and biblically based help for today's parenting pressures.

Funds needed in 2026: $30,000

Kerith Retreats Registration Assistance Fund

Sponsor clergy and ministry leaders who need financial help to attend a retreat focused on spiritual restoration and renewal.

Funds needed in 2026: $50,000

Hope Restored Registration Assistance Fund

Help couples in crisis access intensive, professional Christian marriage counselling when finances would otherwise be a barrier.

Funds needed in 2026: $100,000

Counselling Assistance Fund

Help launch reduced-fee ongoing counselling support so people in crisis can continue receiving care from trusted counsellors.

Funds needed in 2026: $70,000

Digital Outreach and Online Store Expansion

Strengthen digital infrastructure so families can access trusted resources through secure, modern, and easy-to-use online tools.

Funds needed in 2026: $120,000

General Fund

Support the ongoing ministry work behind Hope Restored, Kerith Retreats, counselling, conferences, broadcasts, and trusted family resources.

Note: Spending of funds is confined to Board-approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated towards a Board-approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the Board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such a program or project will be used where needed most. CCCC Standard 7, #6.
